Ingredients
  • 4 Cups broccoli crowns
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice (or juice of one lemon)
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ Tsp salt
  • ¼ Tsp ground pepper
  • ¼ Tsp red pepper (optional)
  • 2 Cloves garlic, minced (optional)
  • ⅓ Cup grated parmesan cheese (or to taste)
Instructions
  1. Mix lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes in gallon-sized resealable bag.
  2. Add broccoli crowns and mix in bag, coating thoroughly. Let stand for 30 minutes.
  3. Add parmesan cheese to bag, and mix thoroughly. (NOTE: Lately, I add the cheese after it is on the grill, and then a little more after stirring it, if necessary)
  4. Lightly spray a grill wok or grill basket with oil
  5. Pour broccoli mixture into wok or basket on gas grill set to low heat, or indirectly on charcoal grill at medium heat.
  6. Cook covered for 6-8 minutes, stir (or flip basket), and cook for another 6-8 minutes. It is done when bright green and has areas that have started to brown.
  7. Serve with something worthy of its greatness.
Notes
If you use broccoli spears instead of crowns, you might be able to cook it directly on the grill, rather than using a basket or wok.
You probably really could use our roasted broccoli marinade on the grill as well, following the vague grilling instructions above.
